COR-LPR Attorney In Kansas City

COR as a legal permanent resident is only applied to those who are in removal proceedings before an immigration court, and are a lawful permanent resident (hold a Green Card). Requirements to become eligible for cancellation of removal as a legal permanent resident include:

1) Individual must show at least five years of green card status
2) must show seven years of continuous residency in the United States
3) must not have any aggravated felony conviction

All decisions regarding cancellations of removal are at the immigration judge’s discretion. This means that even if all required information is submitted, a judge still may decide not to grant the cancellation of removal.
